Tackling a ball carrying adversary to hinder him from bringing the ball forward and scoring a goal. You bring him to the ground and hold him down. He must then give the ball away or will earn a penalty.
Le plaquage est lui aussi une action emblématique du rugby. Le joueur se retrouvera bientôt tenu au sol. Il devra libérer le ballon sous peine d'être sanctionné d'une pénalité.
