The 2003 Rugby World Cup was the fifth Rugby World Cup, it was hosted by Australia who made it to the final. The Cup was eventually won by England. A few days later a national day of celebration for the new World Champions took place , a massive victory parade filled the streets of London, thousands of english fans expressed their joy and pride marching and cheering in honour of the English nation.

The team captain is holding the prize, the Webb Ellis cup, named after William Webb Ellis. The silverware object gilded in gold is thirty-eight centimetres high, it is supported by two handles, one decorated with the head of a satyr, the other the head of a nymph. In Australia the trophy is called colloquially the Bill.
