Belle Glade (vicinity), Florida. January 1939.
In the state of Florida which segregated transport, schools and marriage strictly, this restaurant sign looks strange. It is good business practice to serve all customers, perhaps the patrons will have to sit in different parts of the house. The manager seems to be a person with a sense of humour, to choose a promising name Choke’em down.
Environs de Belle Glade, Floride. Janvier 1939.
